HISTORY AND HERITAGE
The Nin Jiom brand boasts a rich and captivating history rooted in a tale of filial piety. During the Qing Dynasty, a young provincial commander named Yang Xiaolian faced the distressing challenge of his mother suffering from a severe cough and bronchial ailment. Determined to find a remedy, he embarked on a quest to seek out a cure. Eventually, he encountered a renowned Chinese physician who shared a secret formula for a cough syrup that proved remarkably effective in curing his mother. Years later, before her passing, Yang Xiaolian's mother urged him to replicate this extraordinary cough syrup and make it accessible to all. In memory of his mother, he named it Nin Jiom, symbolizing deep filial devotion. This touching narrative lies at the heart of the Nin Jiom logo, emphasizing the profound value of filial piety.
Later on, to evade the escalating war, Yang's descendants relocated to Hong Kong and entrusted the business to Mr. Tse Siu Bong. In 1946, Mr. Tse established Nin Jiom Medicine Manufactory (H.K.) Ltd in Hong Kong, China, embracing the guiding principle of "caring for life." Through diligent management, the enterprise thrived.
As pioneers in the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, Nin Jiom has been dedicated to promoting Chinese medicinal culture on the global stage since the 1960s. In the 60s, the company successfully penetrated Southeast Asian markets like Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. In the 80s, it expanded its presence into Western markets such as the US, Canada, and Europe.
Today, Nin Jiom holds G.M.P. certification from Australia's TGA and DIN certification from Canada's Health Authority. Its products are distributed in over 20 countries and regions, garnering trust and acclaim as an internationally renowned Chinese medicine brand.
For over 70 years, Nin Jiom has consistently responded to national strategies, placing paramount focus on public health. The selection of natural herbs for its products is accompanied by stringent quality control measures. Additionally, their establishment of three Fritillaria bulb green bases in Sichuan, Qinghai, and Tibet further reinforces this commitment. By synergizing the wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern technology, Nin Jiom develops convenient herbal products. Its diverse range encompasses the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Series," "Pei Pa Koa Series," "Heat-Clearing Series," "Herbal Candy Series," "Herbal Tea Series," among others.

Green Base
Located in Tibet and Datong County, Qinghai province at an elevation of over 3,800 meters,
Nin Jiom carefully cultivates its white pearl – the fritillaria bulb.
Why is it necessary for Nin Jiom to grow and cultivate its own fritillaria bulbs?
Natural, wild fritillaria bulbs are rich in medicinal value, but the quality and quantity is often unstable. Coupled with environmental issues such as deforestation and global warming, fritillaria bulbs have depleted.
Not only is Nin Jiom committed to using clean and unpolluted ingredients, Nin Jiom is also an advocate of “taking from the earth and giving back to the earth”. Thus, Nin Jiom established their own green base on the Qinghai Tibetan plateau 3,800 meters above sea level to cultivate fritillaria bulbs in a pollution-free environment. After years of dedicated care from workers who endured harsh working conditions such as extreme cold and low oxygen levels, combined the nourishing rains, sunshine and clean air, the fritillaria bulbs were finally revived on the Qinghai Tibetan plateau at an altitude of 3,800 meters.
